Potensia: check-up
Petrol scooter: oil change
-
At 1,000 km
First check, free
Brakes, bolts and tyre pressure checked, software updated. About 30 minutes.

Every year
Battery health report
A written report on your battery’s capacity, to keep or to show a buyer.
A petrol scooter needs an oil change every 2,000 to 3,000 km, plus spark plugs, filters and a drive belt.
Regular service from 3,000 DA, parts extra.
Battery care
Five habitsfor a battery that lasts.
Heat is a battery’s main enemy, and our summers are long. These habits keep yours healthy for years, from the coast to the highlands.
Summer
-
Charge in the shade
Park in a garage or in the shade to charge. In direct July sun, a battery charges slower and ages faster.
-
Let it cool first
After a hot ride, wait about 30 minutes before you plug in.
Every day
-
Use the supplied charger
It plugs into any normal 220 V socket. Another charger can damage the battery and void the warranty.
Parked for weeks
-
Store it half full
Going away for a while? Leave the battery between 50% and 80%: not full, not empty.
Winter
-
Expect a little less range in the cold
On cold mornings in Sétif or Batna, range drops a little. That’s normal: it comes back as the battery warms up.
If something goes wrong
Three stepsback to the road.
Our service team answers Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 to 18:00.
-
Call or WhatsApp us
Tell us what happened. A photo or a short video of the display helps.
-
We diagnose
Often by phone, in a few minutes. Then we book you a workshop slot, or send a pickup if the bike won’t ride.
-
Repaired within 48 hours
Most repairs take two working days. If yours takes longer, we lend you a bike.
Service questions
Goodto know.
Where can I have my Potensia serviced?
At any Potensia store or partner workshop: find the nearest one. If you live far from a workshop, call us and we’ll arrange a pickup or a visit.
Does the warranty transfer if I sell the bike?
Yes. The remaining warranty stays with the bike, whoever owns it. Keep the service booklet and the purchase invoice to hand over to the buyer.
What doesn’t the warranty cover?
Parts that wear with use (tyres, brake pads, bulbs), damage from an accident, a fall or misuse, and unauthorised modifications such as a tuned controller.
How much does a service cost?
The first check at 1,000 km is free. A regular service starts at 3,000 DA, plus any parts that need replacing. The workshop gives you a quote before any work starts.
Can an independent garage work on my bike?
For tyres and brake pads, yes. For the motor, battery and electronics, use our network: work done elsewhere can void the warranty. Genuine parts can be ordered from any Potensia store.
What happens to the battery after the warranty?
It keeps working: a battery loses capacity slowly, it doesn’t stop overnight. When you want your full range back, we fit a new pack and recycle the old one. Ask your store for the current price.
Ride it. We’ll look after it.
Book a test ride, and ask our team anything about servicing, parts and warranty while you’re there.
